stage / experience / lessons / ecstatic
My first experience on a competitive STAGE: NERVE RACKING !!!
Re-Fresh Shaking with anxiety and fear. Looked at other teams. The thought: SIGH !
Because we didn't get the steps correct even an hour before we went up. I don't blame anyone ! No worries =)
We were number 28. Out of 40. Gotta wait hellish LONG for our turn. Somemore, we were the last NRA team to dance.
And Flair Nation's item was quite long. With me at the side, I watched and shook.
But after we went up. IT'S ALL OR NOTHING !
BAMMMMM !!!!!!!!!!!!!
We put on a good show. It was fun ! =D
The best thing... WE GOT INTO THE SEMIS !!! Along with Wasabi and KinderJoy. WAZZA !
I had mixed feelings though. 'Cos 3 teams didn't got through.
JIAYOU for semis anyways ! We can do this. Let's ALL have fun and enjoy killing shows and judges and audiences. Let's rule the stage once more.

three AM !
YEAH, 3 AM ! And I'm still awake.
Well, I was hopping from blog to blog. 'Cos I can't sleep. And I'm bored. Just scanned through them. Really touched and motivated by ALL the encouragements for Groove.
Not only for Re-Fresh. But KinderJoy, Wasabi and the other teams.
I also want to give a shoutout to ALL: JIAYOU !!!
Sitting in front of my computer after taking a REFRESHING shower and chatting on MSN is really damn relaxing. Even Andy feels the same way. Feels like.... After a hard day's work, you get to relax and do something you enjoy. You know, LIFE IS SIMPLE ! =)

For now, dancing is the 'hard day's work'. I was really happy that Ann saw Re-Fresh's item. Although I was super nervous. At least we can grab comments and tips from the pro! What she said really motivated me. (or rather, US !)
It's just one more day. Just have fun! Everything will be alright. We have ALL worked hard.

No, I'm not here to post about dance again. In fact, I really don't know what to put in this empty spot.
I've tried to think of a poem. Cos I think it's quite interesting to post your feelings in catchy tones. But I failed. It's not quite a good time for rhyming words and stuff.
The past few days have been rough. - CONFUSION - Even a short spark of attraction died off. If you have seen my MSN PM and asked me about it, you'll know what I'm refering to.

Mental warfare. It's similar like the one I've experience during Danzation rehearsals. Feeling very very tired today from dancing. And my mind can't really work well.
But it wasn't as serious, though. Phew!

unexpected
I am tired.
There was a 'surprised' combined class by Ann today. I wasn't expecting it. I wasn't ready. And I was shocked.
The training was chui ... I can't keep up with the choreo.
However, I learnt ALOT. Being in the same class as the seniors was definitely different. You can see the different styles of every single one of them. It just shows: BE YOURSELF, not someone else. It's damn true, this statement. Something I always try to live by.
I just got to practise more. And more. To be better. =D

BINTAN
I'm red like a lobster ! Burnt and painted...
LOL ! =D
I'm here to blog about my Bintan trip. It's a ME division camp. Went there as a student leader. And had loads and loads of fun, despite some organising issues.
But what the heck! FUN is the key! =D
DAY ONE
Trekked Gunung Bintan, a 300 plus metres mountain. First time! Super cool =) The soil was damn wet, and many people kept slipping. Even me =( Towards the end, when climbing down. I missed my footing and got my butt painted brown!!!
We also built a sand castle of a Marlboro packet on the beach. HAHA ! I'll post the photo soon when I have it =) Why Marlboro? Because our group name is MARLBORO !!! LOL !
DAY TWO
Team Challenge Pyramid. This is what we did: * 1st level - Climbed to a certain height. Crossed the plank bridge. * 2nd level - Walked across the log. * 3rd level - Swinged to the other side. Mini flying fox! * 4th level - Another bridge. This one is slanted about 40 degrees, with a gap in between. * 5th level - I forgot. But similar to Level 1. * 6th level - Climbed the rock wall. * 7th level - The Leap of Faith. We have to jump across a one metre gap. * 8th level - Some kind of log ladder. But metal. And it's hot! * 9th level - FLYING FOX TO THE BOTTOM !!!
Then we played some low element games. Walked across the parallel cables during the high elements. Learnt belaying and stuff too =D
At night was the CAMPFIRE ! Marlboro. Alamak. Damn funny lar. We did a skit about unity.
One day a guy saw a Marlboro stick sticking out of the mud. Then he pulled it. It was stucked. He needed help ! One by one, people came to help. Until I came in and pulled. THE MARLBORO CAME OUT ! We worshipped the Marlboro and wanted to light it. But...... IT CAUSES CANCER !!! So we threw it away....
This was a commercial by the way =) And the Marlboro stick is played by a guy. Chester !
The fashion show was SUPER UBER DUPER FUNNY lar ! Laughed till my tears ran down my face... Colin, Galvin and Eric dressed up as bikini babes !!! WAH, cannot take it...
DAY THREE
Paintball !!! I was looking forward to this thing.
First round: We won. I proned behind the sand bag and provide 'sniping' cover. Managed to hit Alden in the stomach, Loretta on the shoulder, and I think someone else?? Amirul captured the flag to win it for us!
Final: Both teams walked up to the front. Shake hands. And did the cowboy shootout! "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 !!!" We started firing. I hit two people on the left. And got shot myself ! Many times !! One on the finger (which hurt alot!) and bounced onto my neck. One one the head. One on my shoe. One on my torso. We all ran out of paintballs and I kept shooting blanks ! In the end, it was a sprint as both team caught the flag. But the other team ran faster. So we lost. But it's okay. Cos we had damn fun ! LOL !!!
After that, we drove the ATV. Alden drove first. Through the forest. And I almost got hit by a tree ! HAHA ! Then through some humps. Bumpy bumpy! Switched drivers. I drove through THE MUD !!! We all got splashed all over lar !! Everyone became BROWN.
Treasure hunting was next. Called Geocaching. Using GPS. It was kinda cool. Since it was raining, we were all clad in ponchos running around the Nirwana Resort. Did pretty well, yeah! According to the trainer.
At night, we packed and went home.
Well....... This camp..... Have made me learnt more about leadership. And life. Especially after the talk. By a guest speaker, who made me laugh till my abs cramped.

I actually have thoughts of skipping the Bintan trip. Because if I go, I'll have to miss 3 full days of dance. And that's 3 days worth of choreo to learn, clean and practice!
I hope we can do much tomorrow during prac. And that I can catch up fast when I come back. YEAH, gotta look on the brighter side, yo... At least I can have fun and take a break. Because I expect a great deal from the camp. Already liked the place when I went there to recee. HAHA !
The campsite offers paintball, dune buggy, high ropes, etc. And the BEACH ! OMG... the beach is heavenly! Soft sand, clear waters, cool breeze. Hope the campfire will be held there.

tired, yo...
I had a LONG weekend ... and a tiring one as well.
It's two consecutive days of dancing, and dancing. And going to church.
Actually quite proud of myself though. I wasn't in my 'LAZY' mode at all these two days. HAHA ! Because I usually will want to sleep, and sleep. And I will sleep. You know, it's the WEEKEND ! People want to SLEEP ! Thank God for the strength. =D Managed to pull through, and persevere. Feeling the energy drainage during the night only.
Woohoo! I can do ALL things in Christ who STRENGTHENS me !!!
Groove To The West heats are on the 28th. We started training on the 7th. I'll be away from 11th - 13th. May will be away from 22nd - 25th.
So this is how we're going to chiong for it. And it's our first competition!
Finished almost the first segment already. LOL ! About 8 eights ??? Yeah, around there... =)

SOE Camp
The camp was fun! It was great! I really enjoyed myself =D
At first it was a disaster being in the LT on the first day. Very very few familiar faces. And I'm the only person in AT year 2! How nice.... -_- At least I got to know my juniors better. Being in the same bunk. YEAH, WE SLEPT AT THE LOFT !!! I really really don't mind making that place my home. Oh well, I WANT it to be my home !

It's so comfy in there...
But as time passed, I became more comfortable with it. And getting to know more peeps, especially my group peeps. We are called 006 !
I learnt alot during the camp. Such as leadership skills, successful event planning. The games we played were so fun. Like Kidnapped and Great Wall of China! I will miss every single moment of it. Thanks Jeremy (from High Achievers) Thanks Shihui (my group leader) Thanks 006 (awesome peeps!)
Well, there's still Bintan. Haha !
And I was soooo tired that I was an hour late for my driving class this morning !!!

CHERISH
I'll be dumb not to post this. Although it's way way past midnight.
I'll be off for SOE camp in a few hours time. Haven't done my packing though ! =p It's not that I'm lazy, I just didn't had the time. (or was it another excuse?)
Because KK had a great treat from us in the day. A rainy gathering at Sentosa. He'll be off to Brisbane in mid-March for his attachment. Enjoy yourself, yo ! =D
To KK: I know you're kinda unsure. But hey, going overseas for such program is a great eye-opener. Although I know you'll miss us all here! And DANCE... That's the suckiest thing! No worries, man. Go for dance classes there, and who knows you might be in some dope ass crew!! ;) And you'll get to meet Aussie chicks! LOL. ALL THE BEST !!!

We had fun and all. Slacking, eating, chit-chatting, joking and playing the guitar! Though I paid the price by becoming a 'wet soup chicken' !!!
