BINTAN

I'm red like a lobster !
Burnt and painted...

LOL ! =D

I'm here to blog about my Bintan trip. It's a ME division camp.
Went there as a student leader.
And had loads and loads of fun, despite some organising issues.

But what the heck!
FUN is the key! =D


DAY ONE

Trekked Gunung Bintan, a 300 plus metres mountain. First time! Super cool =)
The soil was damn wet, and many people kept slipping.
Even me =(
Towards the end, when climbing down. I missed my footing and got my butt painted brown!!!

We also built a sand castle of a Marlboro packet on the beach. HAHA ! I'll post the photo soon when I have it =) Why Marlboro?
Because our group name is MARLBORO !!!
LOL !

DAY TWO

Team Challenge Pyramid.
This is what we did:
* 1st level - Climbed to a certain height. Crossed the plank bridge.
* 2nd level - Walked across the log.
* 3rd level - Swinged to the other side. Mini flying fox!
* 4th level - Another bridge. This one is slanted about 40 degrees, with a gap in between.
* 5th level - I forgot. But similar to Level 1.
* 6th level - Climbed the rock wall.
* 7th level - The Leap of Faith. We have to jump across a one metre gap.
* 8th level - Some kind of log ladder. But metal. And it's hot!
* 9th level - FLYING FOX TO THE BOTTOM !!!

Then we played some low element games.
Walked across the parallel cables during the high elements.
Learnt belaying and stuff too =D

At night was the CAMPFIRE !
Marlboro. Alamak. Damn funny lar.
We did a skit about unity.

One day a guy saw a Marlboro stick sticking out of the mud.
Then he pulled it.
It was stucked.
He needed help !
One by one, people came to help.
Until I came in and pulled. THE MARLBORO CAME OUT !
We worshipped the Marlboro and wanted to light it. But......
IT CAUSES CANCER !!!
So we threw it away....

This was a commercial by the way =)
And the Marlboro stick is played by a guy. Chester !

The fashion show was SUPER UBER DUPER FUNNY lar !
Laughed till my tears ran down my face...
Colin, Galvin and Eric dressed up as bikini babes !!! WAH, cannot take it...

DAY THREE

Paintball !!!
I was looking forward to this thing.

First round:
We won.
I proned behind the sand bag and provide 'sniping' cover.
Managed to hit Alden in the stomach, Loretta on the shoulder, and I think someone else??
Amirul captured the flag to win it for us!

Final:
Both teams walked up to the front. Shake hands. And did the cowboy shootout!
"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 !!!"
We started firing.
I hit two people on the left.
And got shot myself ! Many times !!
One on the finger (which hurt alot!) and bounced onto my neck.
One one the head.
One on my shoe.
One on my torso.
We all ran out of paintballs and I kept shooting blanks !
In the end, it was a sprint as both team caught the flag.
But the other team ran faster.
So we lost. But it's okay.
Cos we had damn fun ! LOL !!!

After that, we drove the ATV.
Alden drove first. Through the forest. And I almost got hit by a tree ! HAHA !
Then through some humps. Bumpy bumpy!
Switched drivers.
I drove through THE MUD !!!
We all got splashed all over lar !!
Everyone became BROWN.

Treasure hunting was next. Called Geocaching.
Using GPS.
It was kinda cool.
Since it was raining, we were all clad in ponchos running around the Nirwana Resort.
Did pretty well, yeah!
According to the trainer.

At night, we packed and went home.


Well.......
This camp.....
Have made me learnt more about leadership. And life.
Especially after the talk. By a guest speaker, who made me laugh till my abs cramped.
